PURPOSE

Falls are a highly common condition in patients with Alzheimer’s disease (AD). Current interventions for falls in this population are not equally effective. Findings from this study could help shape a trial for an existing intervention –vestibular therapy – in reducing falls in Alzheimer’s patients.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible, a participant must be 60 years or older, have mild to moderate Alzheimer’s disease, live less than 60 miles from Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, have a caregiver, and be willing to receive quarterly phone calls.
